SimBin, creators of RacePro, are considering legal action against Slightly Mad Studios, developers of the recently announced Need for Speed SHIFT.
In a statement issued to IncGamers this evening, Magnus Ling, Executive Vice President at SimBin commented:
"SimBin is taking legal advice and considering to also take legal actions against Slightly Mad Studios, as a result of certain statements made by Slightly Mad Studios that we find to be incorrect, misleading and has a negative impact on our reputation as well as business negotiations.
"These potential actions are a result of Slightly Mad Studios and EAs announcement of a cooperation where SimBin games are referred to by Slightly Mad Studios in a misleading way."
Members of UK based developer Slightly Mad have worked on GTR, GTR and GT Legends. These titles were developed by SimBin but appear to be listed on the Slightly Mad website as titles they have developed, or at least listed as "A brief history of the staff at Slightly Mad Studios". Perhaps this is just one of the issues SimBin have with the recent announcement.
